Building a Scalable Subscription and Digital Content Astrology Platform
Astrolada is an e-commerce platform that offers subscriptions and digital products to a global audience. As the user base grew, managing the platform became harder. Publishing content required significant manual work, subscription logic was scattered across multiple tools, and keeping pricing, discounts, and course access consistent was challenging. These problems raised operational risks and delayed the launch of new content and products.
The goal of the project was to rebuild the platform using one system for subscriptions and digital content. We combined content management, payments, and user access in a single place. We also added automated workflows for publishing and billing, and redesigned the user area to make it easier for users to find their purchased and subscribed content.
Now, the system offers both free and paid plans, supports recurring subscriptions, and allows for regular content updates. It is scalable, easy to audit, and simple for a small team to manage.
As Astrolada’s audience and content library grew, it became clear the platform had limits. Workflows were fragmented, many tasks were done by hand, and the user experience felt outdated. This made it hard to deliver content on time and manage pricing, discounts, and courses efficiently.
Frequent updates and changing processes showed the need for a digital system that could grow with the business, support automation, stay transparent, and offer a smoother user experience.
Global engagement metrics that guided us when building Astrolada’s platform.
A collaborative approach focused on scalability, automation, and operational clarity.
We started with a detailed discovery phase, reviewing Astrolada’s platform, workflows, and offerings, including the course catalog and Birth Chart Calendar subscriptions (free, monthly, and annual). By learning how the team handled content, user engagement, and payments, we found bottlenecks, manual steps, and areas where errors could happen.
Working together was essential. We teamed up with Astrolada’s content and operations teams to learn their priorities and how they work. Next, we automated routine tasks, made subscription management simpler, and made sure all processes could grow with the global audience.
Security and data integrity were top priorities. We built in role-based access controls and automated safeguards from the beginning. Our approach included careful planning, working with stakeholders, and focusing on scalability so the platform could support Astrolada’s growth and give users a seamless experience.
ThinkWeb created a secure, scalable digital system for Astrolada’s growing user base and wide range of offerings. We rebuilt the platform to make course management and the Birth Chart Calendar subscription easier, supporting free, monthly, and annual plans with automated sign-ups and recurring payments.
We automated manual tasks like content publishing, pricing updates, and subscription management to cut down on errors and save time.
AWS microservices and Keycloak now manage user authentication and authorization. We also securely moved all user data from the old system.
The new admin panel enables staff to manage courses, files, and digital products easily, with all content securely stored in S3. An API first backend powers the public website to deliver courses, transits, and digital products seamlessly.
A special video section uses Cloudflare Streaming to give users fast, reliable access to all video courses and content.
Users now have a “My Astrolada” portal with a download center where they can access purchased content and preview their Birth Chart Calendar. This makes the experience smoother and more engaging.
The platform now supports millions of users worldwide. Real-time dashboards give insights into user engagement, subscription trends, and how content is performing.
From the moment I launched my first project with them, my business doubled. Together with ThinkWeb we are working on becoming world leaders in our field.
