From MVP to Scalable Digital Menu SaaS for Restaurants and Bars

NeatMenu is a digital menu management platform that helps restaurants and bars create, customize, and manage interactive menus in real time. The client approached us with a concept and a goal: to validate the idea with a minimum viable product that could later evolve into a full SaaS platform.

We took full responsibility for product design, development, and infrastructure, transforming the concept into a production-ready platform that launched within months. The first version focused on ease of use, allowing restaurant owners to create digital menus in minutes, manage multiple locations, and update prices, categories, and promotions instantly.

The platform includes integrated subscriptions and billing via Stripe, complete with trial periods, recurring payments, and automatic invoicing. Each venue can manage its own digital menus, generate QR codes for instant access, and customize layout, colors, and fonts to match its branding through a built-in style configurator.

To ensure long-term scalability, we designed a hybrid architecture combining AWS ECS for the core application and serverless functions for background processing. The result is a system that remains efficient and cost-effective, capable of supporting thousands of venues and millions of menu views without additional operational complexity.

We also developed the marketing website using our content management system ThinkCMS, along with content strategy, SEO optimization, and documentation for end users. Together, the website and platform created a unified experience that helped the client attract new customers and convert early interest into subscriptions.

NeatMenu has since validated its business model and continues to grow, offering restaurants a sustainable, contactless, and easy-to-manage solution that improves efficiency, reduces costs, and enhances customer satisfaction.
